My personal highlight were the ponds behind the cottage where you can have a coffee in the morning watching a platypus having breakfast. Amazing!

Room is clean and spacious for two (can fit 5 max), The surrounding area is quite scenic with ponds. This was our first stop of Tassie road trip and we chose this place hoping to spot platypus in the wild, of which we did though just one, and at a far distance. We enjoyed our stay here.

Absolute Magic!
The cottages are beautiful, clean and cosy, and the owners are welcoming and full of knowledge on the local area. The perfect base for exploring the South West wilderness of Tasmania!

We made a last minute booking in town, actually ended up with 4 beds to choose from when there were only 2 of us but it was still affordable! The accommodation was clean and very comfortable.

The best in Maydena!! Cottages were well appointed, clean, private and comfortable. I joined the other guests staying at the cottages for dinner and a drink. Locals and fellow guest all feel welcomed, cozy & warm (open fireplaces). Can’t wait to return to visit again. Highly recommend for both individuals travellers and those travelling together.

A comfortable, quiet and beautiful stay Giants Table is centrally located for many of the sights, like Mount Field NP and Styx River conservation area. The cottage was very comfortable, great bed and bathroom and good wi fi connection. A bonus was seeing the platypus in the back garden. Quiet and lots of birds. Can thoroughly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay at Giants Table, it was very peaceful. Maydena is a lovely area for walking. Roomy unit (for 2). Comfortable bed, with electric blankets. Platypus ponds out back - sighted a couple in the right side pond at dusk. Comfortable lounge area. Nice towels and toiletries. Good microwave and toaster oven. Lots of crockery and cutlery (at least for 2 people). Bar fridge. TV. Tea & coffee provisions.

Big house, choice of beds, well appointed kitchen, fireplace with sufficient dry wood for a toasty fire. Great for large family or groups of friends. Beautiful surrounds.
